Emcee for Major Events

Hunger Banquet

As emcee of the Office of Multicultural Affairs' 2016 Hunger Banquet, I introduced keynote speakers, recognized sponsors, and assisted with ensuring the event ran on a timely schedule. The event was attended by over 200 students and staff, and aimed at raising awareness of Hunger and Poverty in Maine, as well as the developing world.

Workshop Facilitation

Maximize Your Potential

This is a fun and interactive, 4 hour workshop especially for middle school students where they learn about the following topics through games, and educational discussions:

  • Developing Positive Self-Identity

  • The Importance of Healthy Living

  • How to Work in Teams (Kindness, Integrity, Respect)

  • Media Literacy

  • Developing Positive Self-Esteem

What Kind of Leader Are You?

As our society continues to grow more diverse each day, it is important that students gain a holistic perspective of what leadership is. As a presenter of this workshop, I engaged with attendees about their ideas of leadership, and provided interactive activities, and delved into the various leadership styles within the Meyers Briggs typology.

Panel Discussions

Higher Education Opportunity Program Alumni Panel

As a graduate of the New York Institute of Technology's HEOP Program, I have continued to volunteer my time to speak with approximately 20 students on an annual basis. Guided questions by the facilitator revolve around undergraduate experiences as a student leader within the program. Since I truly believe in paying it forward, I try my best to be a resource to the program as a mentor, and provide support for students in order to best navigate their undergraduate careers towards completion of their bachelor degrees.
